1. White board paper is mainly used as an important material for sales packaging. Due to the thickness of the paperboard, it has a certain cushion, so it has a certain protective effect on commodity packaging. High grade white board paper can achieve the similar effect with copper plate paper through color printing. It is commonly used in packaging food, medicine, cosmetics, toys, household appliances and other household products, playing a role of beautification and publicity. It can also be used as hanging tag, lining board and bottom bracket of blister packaging.
White board paper is often used by designers to make composite containers with aluminum foil and plastic, instead of metal containers and glass containers, packaging materials, food, milk, etc.
In the design, white board paper is selected as the commodity packaging material. It should be noted that there is a certain gap between the smoothness and surface smoothness of white board paper and that of high-grade copper plate paper. The dot precision of image should not be too high, so as to avoid the bad dot transfer and level loss. Compared with the high-grade cardboard, the white board paper is relatively rough. Therefore, the high-grade commodities with small specifications and sizes are generally not suitable to use the white board paper, especially the high-grade drugs and cosmetics are not suitable to use the white board paper as the commodity packaging, but the homogeneous cardboard should be selected to improve the product grade.

Although the glossiness of white card paper is not as good as that of copperplate paper, the color picture on high-grade white card paper is soft, elegant and noble.
In printing design, white card paper is often used to print business cards, certificates, invitations, covers and postcards.

Synthetic paper, also known as polymer paper and plastic paper, is a kind of material which takes synthetic resin as the main raw material, melts, extrudes and extends the resin into a film through a certain process, and then paper-based treatment is carried out to endow its natural plant fiber paper with whiteness, opacity and printability. Now the synthetic paper on the market only refers to the thin film synthetic paper.

② It is difficult to recycle synthetic paper after use, which will cause environmental pollution.

5. Printability and design points of composite board
Composite board is generally composed of board and composite layer. The paper board uses ordinary white paper board.
When designing and selecting composite board, the following problems should be paid attention to:
① When designing the background color, it should not cover all the background colors, but expose more metal background colors.
② If there is a four-color overprint dot image, it should be designed for a small area. It is not suitable to use a large area of four-color overprint.
③ The color block printing should be designed as spot color printing as much as possible, because the drying of large area color block is slow.
④ When printing, small areas of color blocks, text, lines, light colors are printed first, and large areas of colors are printed later.
⑤ There are four-color continuous tone image, you need to first base, base with ink to cover high.
